The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) have officially announced the dismissal of national team head coach Vincenzo Montella following a sequence of results in competitive fixtures.
The Italian tactician took charge in September 2023, guiding the Crescent-Stars through UEFA Euro 2024 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
However, a winless start to their UEFA Nations League campaign, comprising four consecutive defeats against France, Belgium, and home-and-away losses to Italy, alongside a group-stage exit at the World Cup preceded the federation’s decision to change leadership.
During his 40 matches at the helm, Montella secured 21 victories, five draws, and 14 losses. The TFF has not yet named a successor.
