AFC Ajax have officially completed the signing of Moroccan international midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
The 30-year-old defensive midfielder joins the Eredivisie club on a free transfer following the mutual termination of his contract with Fenerbahçe. Amrabat has signed a contract in Amsterdam through June 30, 2028.
The move marks Amrabat’s return to Dutch football, where he previously began his senior career with FC Utrecht before representing Feyenoord.
Following subsequent spells at Club Brugge, Hellas Verona, Fiorentina, Manchester United, and Real Betis, the experience of the 78-cap Morocco midfielder will reinforce Ajax’s defensive central options for domestic and European competitions.
