Valencia CF have appointed Javier Aguirre as their new head coach on a contract running until June 2027, with an option to extend for a further season.
The 67-year-old manager takes on the role at Mestalla following his departure from the Mexico national team after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he guided El Tri to the Round of 16.
Aguirre succeeds Carlos Corberán, who was relieved of his duties following a difficult start to the La Liga campaign, and brings vast experience to Los Che, having previously managed six Spanish clubs including Atlético Madrid, Osasuna, and Mallorca.
His first match in charge will take place following the international break away at Racing Santander on October 11.
