The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has officially ratified a major contract extension for head coach Luis de la Fuente, keeping the 65-year-old manager at the helm of La Roja until July 2032.
The agreement, formally approved at an Executive Committee meeting in Madrid following unanimous board backing, represents the longest coaching tenure ever authorized by the federation.
Under the new terms, De la Fuente will lead the national team across three additional major tournament cycles: EURO 2028, the 2030 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, and EURO 2032.

Having already guided Spain to success in the 2023 UEFA Nations League, EURO 2024, and the 2026 World Cup, the long-term deal rewards his historic tenure and solidifies RFEF’s project for the next six years.
