Fiorentina registered their first victory of the 2026/27 Serie A campaign with a 4–2 away win over Venezia FC.
On-loan Real Madrid winger Franco Mastantuono starred with a sensational performance, scoring three goals to overturn an early deficit and seal three points for La Viola.
In doing so, the 19-year-old right winger created European football history. At 19 years and 28 days old, Mastantuono became the youngest Argentine player in history to score a hat-trick in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
He eclipsed the long-standing record held by Lionel Messi, who netted his first top-five league hat-trick for FC Barcelona against Real Madrid in March 2007 at 19 years and 259 days old.
Mastantuono joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan from Real Madrid in August 2026 following his initial €45m move to Spain from River Plate.
