AS Roma have announced the signing of centre-back Leonardo Balerdi from Olympique Marseille.
The 27-year-old Argentina international joins on an initial season-long loan for a €1m loan fee, with the deal featuring a buy option set at €13m according to Foot Marseille.
The purchase option becomes a mandatory obligation under specific conditional criteria during the season.
Balerdi departs Marseille following six seasons and 200 appearances at the club.
