Borussia Dortmund have announced that head coach Niko Kovač has signed a contract extension, pushing his deal ahead of schedule to run until 30 June 2029.
The 54-year-old Croatian manager originally took charge at Signal Iduna Park in February 2025 when the club sat 11th in the standings, successfully guiding them to a top-four finish and UEFA Champions League qualification.
After following up with a strong second-place Bundesliga finish in his first full season, club management moved to secure his long-term future alongside assistant coaches Robert Kovač and Filip Tapalović.
