NEC Nijmegen have officially announced the signing of former Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, and Paris Saint-Germain left-back Mitchel Bakker on a free transfer, with the defender agreeing a one-year contract that includes a unilateral club option to extend until June 2027.
The 26-year-old Dutch defender was available as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at Atalanta.
After undergoing a brief trial period with Dick Schreuder’s squad at De Goffert, the former Ajax academy product formally committed to NEC, where he has been assigned the number 5 shirt.
