Parma Calcio 1913 have officially parted ways with head coach Carlos Cuesta after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract.
The 31-year-old Spanish tactician, who spent five seasons as Mikel Arteta’s assistant at Arsenal before taking charge at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in July 2025, leaves following a difficult start to the campaign.
Parma cited a misalignment regarding the future direction of the club’s sporting project, with the decision following an emergency meeting after a run of four points from their opening five Serie A matches alongside an early Coppa Italia exit.
Cuesta departs having managed 48 matches across all competitions, leaving the Gialloblu 15th in the table ahead of their trip to face Inter Milan after the international break.
