Kerim Alajbegović scored his first goal for the club during a dominant 5-0 victory over Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in their opening UEFA Europa League fixture at Allianz Stadium.
The 18-year-old winger, who arrived from Bayer Leverkusen in August for a fee of €32m, doubled the Bianconeri’s lead in the first half with a long-range strike into the top corner following a setup from Weston McKennie.
With star attacker Kenan Yıldız sidelined through injury, Alajbegović retained his place in the starting XI following a strong league display against Sassuolo and rewarded manager Luciano Spalletti by becoming Juventus’ youngest ever European goalscorer.
