RC Lens have officially parted company with head coach Dino Toppmöller by mutual agreement after just six matches in charge.
The 45-year-old German manager initially enjoyed a successful start to his tenure, securing silverware in his debut fixture with a 1–0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Trophée des Champions.
According to reports from L’Équipe and Sky Sport Germany, the decision stems from an internal dispute between the head coach and the club’s board.
The hierarchy moved to dismiss assistant coach Nelson Morgado following disagreements with the French backroom staff.
Reports add that Toppmöller chose to resign in solidarity with his long-time assistant, leading to the mutual termination of his contract.
