Valencia CF have officially announced that head coach Carlos Corberán has been relieved of his duties.
The decision comes as part of a major structural overhaul at Mestalla, which also saw CEO of Football Ron Gourlay and his executive team depart.
The dismissal follows a dismal start to the 2026/27 La Liga campaign, with Los Che sitting bottom of the table after collecting just one point from their opening five matches (4 defeats, 1 draw), a run capped by a heavy 5–0 loss to FC Barcelona.
Corberán originally took charge in December 2024, leading Valencia to a 12th-place finish in 2024/25 and 9th place last season. Across his 72 total matches in charge, the 43-year-old manager compiled 28 wins, 17 draws, and 27 losses.
VCF Mestalla head coach Óscar Sánchez has been appointed as interim manager while the board searches for a permanent successor.
