FC Palm City winger Cristian Tello has officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35.
Developed in FC Barcelona’s La Masia academy, the Spaniard made his first-team debut during the 2011/12 season and went on to win La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España with the Catalan club.
Following loan spells with FC Porto and ACF Fiorentina, Tello moved to Real Betis in 2017, where he made 172 total appearances over five seasons and won the 2022 Copa del Rey.

He subsequently claimed the Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup during his spell with Los Angeles FC before playing in the Middle East with Saudi Arabian sides Al Fateh and Al Orobah, ultimately concluding his playing career with UAE side FC Palm City.
At international level, Tello won the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship and earned one senior cap for Spain.
