Fiorentina have officially announced the return of 54-year-old Paolo Vanoli as head coach on a contract through June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional season.
Vanoli succeeds Fabio Grosso, who was relieved of his duties following a disappointing start to the domestic campaign.
The appointment marks a swift return to Florence for Vanoli, who previously managed the Viola during the 2025/26 season after taking over from Stefano Pioli in November 2025, successfully guiding the club away from relegation danger.
The former defender also represented Fiorentina during his playing career, making 81 appearances between 1998 and 2000 and winning the Coppa Italia with the club in 1999.
