Real Sociedad have officially completed the permanent transfer of 20-year-old defender Héctor Fort from FC Barcelona.
The Spanish right-back has signed a five-year contract in San Sebastián extending through June 30, 2031, for a transfer fee of €8.5m according to Transfermarkt.com.
According to Goal.com, FC Barcelona retain a €20m buy-back option along with a percentage clause on any future sale of the player.
Fort leaves Barcelona following a ten-year spell in the club’s youth academy and a loan stint at Elche last season.
