Chelsea have officially completed the signing of goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa. The 33-year-old Argentina international and 2022 World Cup winner has agreed to a three-year contract at Stamford Bridge through June 2029, for a transfer fee of €8.75m per Transfermarkt.com.
The arrival of Martínez adds experienced depth to Chelsea’s goalkeeping options alongside Robert Sánchez. Martínez departs Aston Villa following six seasons at Villa Park, where he registered 256 official appearances.
